It’s on air as of right now. Let us use this thread to discuss the pros and cons of both candidates, just as was the case with discussion of Presidential Debate.
Both Candidates are, and i quote “pulling no punches” so far.
Please share what you extracted from the debate, who fared better than the other. Who won your vote; who lost your vote.
Opps, all eyes on Palin and Biden comes and steals the show, the last half of the debate was owned by Biden...doggone it. Polls will show Joe won as will the bump.
Palin misled on various issues. She kept talking about corruption and greed in Wall Street without actually providing us her definition of those charges. She also put Biden in a very awkward position on Obama's vote against the use of force in Iraq, by mentioning his stance. I would have to agree with utd as well, it was Biden.
I dont know how much it helped, but I loved Biden's remarks on Cheney being the most dangerous vice president ever! LOL
i wish Biden was running for President! Obama is known as a wizard with words but he was very unimpressive in his debate last week...Biden was very precise and brought up solid points against Mc Cain.
Her statements were more generalized, she kept bringing back energy into almost every question. She was confident but her answers lacked substance. Also, I am so glad that Biden said Mccain is no Maverick as that maverick thing was getting a bit too much.
I thought Biden did incredibly well. He actually was far better than Obama or McCain were in their debate. Palin was solid in the first half. When I say solid I mean she at least sounded coherent while she was saying absolutely nothing. The second half when foreign policy came up Biden just **** all over her. She was nervous, she stuttered, she said absolutely nothing besides talking points, and overall she was unable to defend anything Biden attacked her on. She was absolutely positively horrible in the second half. Her folksy dontchaknow **** hopefully won't fly with people, and her stupid winking at the camera shouldn't either.
I'm tired of this appeal to rural america as if their morals are just soooooooo much better than those of people in larger towns and cities. Lest we forget, the rural american is the dope who put Bush in office TWICE.
I turned on the TV when the question was posed about Iran and Pakistan.. bunch of retards going at it seriously, politics is entertainment. oh I turned off the tv when they started praising Israel this Israel that.. wow pathetic...

I think its VP's job in debate to attack the top of the ticket. Biden can be direct to McCain and Palin can do the same on Obama. But when it comes to the presidential debate, you have to look presidential and still attack in a sophesticated way and careful with words and avoide name calling. Remember general public didn't like McCain's repeating "Senetor Obama doesn't understand" rants last week.
Example, Biden's comments on McCain "McCain was darn wrong!" or calling Cheny the most dangerous VP etc.
Hopefully no one will fall for the folksy charm of Palin, which if not there, I don't what else she could have offered. I actually felt pitiful for her. She has no experience or qualification for the office she is running for and she has been thrown out to the wolves.
There was no question about who has experience or qualification or the political insight into the matters that face the country. Anyone who would chose Palin would really would deserve her then as well.
Biden was extremely professional and political in his attitude whereas I found Palin trying to make up for her lack of experience and qualification or even general knowledge about politics by ridiculous antics, however what else would you expect her to do, she has to try her best when she is on national television.
Biden was precise on facts and precise in honing in on the reasons alongwith the facts about why he is opposed to McCain and favoring Obama. Palin on the other hand, likes to be with the maverick, that was her strongest reason for being onboard. Her replies were totally devoid of confidence. She did prepare and showed confidence in the beginning on the debate but that can last for so long, eventually she did get nervous and avoided almost every question in hopeless efforts to keep steering the discussions towards energy and taxes, in which even she really did not have an upper hand but clearly she thought she could atleast hold her own in those issues and take lesss of a battering.
Biden's best statement IMO opinion was that they will not attack peoples motives but only their judgement. Very good statement if understood properly. Everyone is trying to do what they believe is in the best interest of their country but what they judge to the problems or solutions may not really be.
Yeah, that shows some humanity is left in some politicians.
Biden's story is inspiring and he seems to be a fine man. Just have some self decipline problem when it comes to facing media. He is over relaxed and confident and tends to start never ending lectures on the topic. On the bright side, it shows his in depth knowledge of the issue, but normally his gaffes back fire very often.
^ I agree. Another thing, Biden's not a rich man! Even I have more in savings than him! Both him and Obama are more suited to be leading the country. Grandpa Mccain cant even remember how many houses he owns!
