Voting in Florida

Note: Most posts in this section are so serious in nature, that it’d be appropriate to get a break from all that, once in a while. Enjoy

From Time Magazine - September 23, 2002

“Voting in Dade County is a lot like going to a casino. You hope it will work out, but you know it’s beyond your control”
– Rep Carrie Meek, Florida Democrat

To those who don’t know, in the just concluded Primaries, the Florida was again the center of a very close race and sensational muck ups in the voting machines. It was not as bad as hanging chads, but the darn touch-screen voting machines could not be booted-up in the morning. That delayed the start of the polling in some cases… and then surprise of surprises, they could not get their counting correct and had to recount in several places.

In the end, the Democrat contender for Governorship won by a mere 5,800 votes. Trust the Floridans to take it to the edge, all the time.

Oh no. AGAIN IN FLORIDA :smack:

:)

Floridans are used to it now, I guess.

People say that situation is worst than 2000 election. I wonder why.

Yes, it's been a topic of discussion in my home state. "Them darn democrats ... y'all haven't seen nothing yet". I was glad when it was all over.

LOL

:hehe:
