aap k khayalaat kitney sunder hain :)

and now be honest, you think anyone from Indians in the list of available players other than Tendulkar deserve to be in the team? Tendulkar would have been my choice with Miandad and Richards for middle order but he was only available as Opener so that blew up....

Re: Vote for ICC GREATEST ODI TEAM

Guys you can also vote for BEST ODI MATCH OF ALL TIME. My vote off course went for 1986 Sharjah, lasst ball sixer

A few comments

Also Sachin has most world cup runs at an excellent average of almost 58. The 2011 world cup will be his record 6th (jointly with Miandad)

  • Viv Richards is an automatic choice for any world XI

  • very hard for me to choose 2 among Miandad, Lara, Ponting, Inzi and Aravinda De Silva. went for Miandad because he often batted in a crisis situation and did very well

  • Waqar Younis has most 5-wicket hauls (13)

  • Atleast in ODIs Saqlain was better than Warne. He was the quickest to 200 ODI wickets (104th match) and his overall stats are better than Warne’s

Re: Vote for ICC GREATEST ODI TEAM

Cant agree with u more than that :k: :jhanda:

Re: Vote for ICC GREATEST ODI TEAM

The only thing I would like to add is Waqar could be very expensive (SR: 4.68) at times because of his pace. He was essentially a strike bowler rather than a line and length bowler like Garner, Ambrose or Glenn McGrath. I would n’t mind having McGrath (SR: 3.88) in his place

Re: Vote for ICC GREATEST ODI TEAM

Fans choose their all-time ODI dream team

Opening batsmen: Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag (both Ind)

Middle order: Brian Lara, Viv Richards (both WI) and Ricky Ponting (Aus)

All-rounder: Kapil Dev (Ind)

Wicketkeeper: Adam Gilchrist (Aus)

Spinner: Muttiah Muralidaran (SL)

Fast bowlers: Wasim Akram (Pak), Glenn McGrath (Aus) and Allan Donald (SA)

12th man: Michael Bevan (Aus, the player who received the most number of votes without being enough to make the would-be starting 11).

==========================

Is Kallis under-rated? As a batsman, he has similar record as Tendulkar and more than a useful bowler.
