Mubarak ho take care of urself

Re: vomitting

what week are you in?

i was vomitting 3-4 times a day and thought it was taking over my life! i become dehydrated and had to get the drip put in. but hang on in there! inshallah, it will get better...or so i get told too! lol!

but a few days ago i stopped talking my pregnacare tablets and since then i haven't vomitted! before that i was suffering my nausea all day long! now i understand that i need my folic acid tablets but life has been so bluddy brilliant since the vomitting stopped and i am only at 9 wks! it was defo' the tablets for sure! maybe you could try changing your folic tablet brand!

Re: vomitting

Mubarak...insha-Allah, hope you feel better soon; ameen

Re: vomitting

iyla its my 7th week starting.......... i m just taking folic acid no other tablet.......... hope so it gets better...

Re: vomitting

the only thing that kinda helped me not throw up during the first trimester was salad! just get some chopped greens and add whatever you normally enjoy with dressing because the thing is vegetables dont have a strong smell or taste so you'll be able to tolerate it :) drink lemonade or something tangy with it. yummmm. i used to add in boiled eggs to get some protein in me cuz i had given up on chicken and it really helped. and the beauty is you can go to restaurants with hubby n always order salad so there is no embarassing need to rush to the bathroom cuz you couldn't tolerate the smell of the salmon or shrimp or whatever.

Re: vomitting

i cant tolerate chicken n egg smell............. i have already become vegetarian.................

Re: vomitting

Ahhh sweety I feel for you. I am in my second trimester and still throwing up although it's gotten better than before. Hang in there, for most women it goes away after the first trimester.

i can't tolerate chicken or milk! ew just mentioning milk turns my stomach in! i have started hating many other types of foods that i loved before getting pregnant!

but its good to hear that i'm not the only one hating chicken at the moment! lol!

Re: vomitting

yup milk too............. hope this ends soon
but after all this i love my mum more...........they have also tolerated this thing just to bring us in this world.............. all mums are great

Re: vomitting

i know!

i'm only 9 wks and i wonder how on earth my mum did it with all of us?! i have so much more new-found respect for her as i realise what all she went though - although i have yet to experience the pain of labour!

then i think of one of my chachi's who has 8 kids back in pakistan!! i think i'll stop after this one! lol!

ladies,
imagine vomitting / nausea in your last days.... that is where I am .... and I second that tangy thing. Add some lemon juice, sugar and salt and REALLY REALLY chilled water and drink that.... this is the only thing helped...I also kept dry aloo bukhara with me...

And try to see which things trigger your vomitting... mine was brought on by yoghurt or milk foods.... and also meat and chicken....so once u can identify those things...makes life a lil easier...

Re: vomitting

my sis had severe nausea and vomitting upto month 4. then she got an amazing break. and then through-out her 3rd trimester it all started again with all the additonal pains of back pains, leg pains, cramps, indigestion etc etc etc. no wonder allah swt gives so much rewards to pregnant women!

but thanks for the tips. will try aloo bukhara and the lemon juice drink!

Re: vomitting

thnkx automone vl try this lemon juice

my sis in law had a very smooth pregnancy mashahallah......... she had vomitting only for a week during her 3rd month rest was absolutely fne i was getting married in those days n she was enjoying shopping wth me in those days......... even at the delivery time her water bag brust but she didnt had any labour pain.......... finally she had c section.........it also went v smooth for her she recovered v quickly..........

so i always imagined that pregnacies are v smooth but..................

best of luck iyla and automne.........

Re: vomitting

oh devilish angel… I used to think I would be one of those women who would sail thru pregnancy..and I thought the worst was over once I was out of the first trimester but no… it has been a tough ride… right now all I am praying for is a speedy smooth delivery and an even quicker recovery so that I can travel with my baby on a 14+ hours and a 5+ hours flight…

And also chew on ice chips… water tasted blah and I even threw up water…but eating ice chips was easier… the lemon thing was awesome especially after a throwing up session…calmed my system like none other

good luck dears
