Voluntary work

Re: Voluntary work

^ :hehe:

Well these days they seem to dish out Nobel prizes for all sorts of things… no surprise really considering the sheer hypocracy of the whole notion… :cb:

Re: Voluntary work

I'm with you guys about doing voluntary work to build up my resume...............however I did have the perfect opportunity to go to Africa with my micro prof during the summer on a whole 'clean water' campaign and I really wanted to go for the cause and not for my resume...............but trying to pass that by parents was hopeless

Re: Voluntary work

I did some volunteering on a website aimed at teenagers in my city some years ago, also volunteered at a local community centre, basically just trying to promote local events to bring the community closer together. I joined Millenium Volunteers too when i was 18 but it didnt last long lol.
I did all my volunteering just to be doing something different and to meet new people.
There's a mental health charity in my city, specifially aimed at helping the Asian community here and at some point I would like to volunteer there.
