Would you consider doing a job that pays you to record hold messages? I’ve always told myself that I would never do such a thing but now am actually considering it. I’ve already been offered one assignment, but dunno if I want to take it.
I don't think there is anything wrong in doing this kind of job as long as the recorded messages are clear instructions or ads but I wouldn't accept an assignment where a long term commitment is needed.
Hmm, why wouldnt you accept a job where a long term commitment is needed?

I am not saying I wouldn't accept any job where a long term commitment is needed. I am specifically talking about voice recording related jobs. It's just my personal preference for this kind of work.
Okay, some people have been asking me what is a voice-over job. It's when you put your voice over a script, and the voice is to be heard (meaning you wont be seen). Like for example, when you call a phone company, they sometimes put you on hold. While you are on hold, you can hear an advertisement for the phone company that someone is speaking about. Telling you features while you wait on the phone. This is an example of a voice-over. smile
P.S. Thanks to those who suggested what they'd do. grin
I would do it … its a job like any other, it might be fun and as long as it pays the bills and lets me enjoy the life. You have to try it once in order to discover your likes and dislikes.
Big questions are:
1 . Is this part time and just making some extra dough.
2. Is it a career, possibly a full time gig
3. Can it lead you into better job, such as cartoons ![]()
have fun
