vitamin A

i m looking for a good vitamin A CREAM …suggest me one please

Re: vitamin A

If you're after a face cream, MD formulations Vita-A-Plus clearing complex cream contains vitamin A. A friend of mine has been using this for a while. I'd say it's more suitable for combinations skin. Apparently it is also good to use if your skin is acne prone.

Re: vitamin A

^^ what does it do?

Re: vitamin A

It's just an everyday face moisturiser. Oil free / eliminates shine. Apparently it helps with the appearance of acne, blemishes and enlarged pores. It's unlikely that the cream alone can guarantee this but that is what some people who have tried it say.

Re: vitamin A

Better to take one or two tabs of 8000iu Vit A every day.

Re: vitamin A

You should be aware that vitamin A in high concentrations can be dangerous to the skin as it makes skin very sensitive. So it's best to take it internally and if you do find a creme with vitamin A, it will be in a very low dose that won't have any positive affect.

Re: vitamin A

High concentration orally is over 100,000iu.

On the skin, these moisturisers cannot be dangerous or very effective. The medications that can cause skin sensitivity have to be prescribed.

Re: vitamin A

If i'm not mistaken the Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) of Vit A is 3000 IU and Upper Limit (UL) is 10,000 IU. I'm not sure how this plays into topical application of it though.

Re: vitamin A

One does not need Vitamin A supplements if eats properly.

Even the supplement makers are now thinking of reducing the amount because of bad effects of too much Vitamin A.
