I apologize if this is something you guys have discussed recently.
What is the status of Vital Signs? Are they together or have they broken up? Are they planning any tours, especially to US during this summer?
Anyone has any inside scoop on this?

Wesay we got a chance to talk to Junaid, he said that was not possible... I know for a fact that apart from Salman and Junaid, the other VS members are not in very good terms with each other.
faisal bhia.. junaid jumshed always come to NY in summer time for concerts.. cuz when i went to NY last yr to attend his concert.. he said that he will come next yr too..
he also go to wasington dc, chicago area and some other place.. dun know about California..
I heard he announced publically that the band was getting back again. Or maybe I got insiders info. Lemme check.

That was one and a half years back...
i dun think they are gettin back together ne more... which was the last album they had together... "aitebar" i dunno maybe 6 or 7 years ago. junaid has gone solo nomore vital signs which is kinda bad
Last year when VS got together in Nazia tribute show, there were unconfirmed reports that they will launch an album later This year. Not sure though...
I thought he quite music and was practicing religion now.
Vital Signs...When I first heard that name, it was as some band who sang Dil Dil Pakistan. I heard the song, but I didn't like it that much at the time. I was only 7, I think. Since then my views have greatly changed, I have admired everything VS and JJ have produced (except for the odd remix). What they have created, by their music, in me shall be a part to me forever. They are my favourite band and most of my all time favourites are from VS. It is because of some odd chemistry between the band members, that this memorable music came from, and if there are issues between them, I'd rather not have them back together, if their music will suffer.

Which Salman is that? If its Salman Ahmed then he has his own group "Junoon", so he is not a VS band member anymore. When I said VS, I meant, Junaid, Rohail and Shahzad (I guess, thats his name).
The reason I asked, is that a couple of months back, I had heard that the three are planning to re-group and work on a new album. I had heard Rohail is helping a couple of other bands, Junaid has his own solo career. Not sure what Shahzad is upto. I always thought that the real musical genius behind VS' success was Shoaib Mansoor's production and Rohail's compositions. And ofcourse Junaid's vocals. It will be nice, if they can get together and come out with more good stuff. Junaid's solo career is musically quite different from the stuff produced by VS.
And this year, since so many bands are coming for tours, it would have been nice if more Pakistani bands also come. I know of several Indian concerts being held through out the summers. Pakistani promoters should also get their act together. This is the season for music, it seems.

First of all, you said Salman is not a VS band member anymore... This is dumb, since there are NO VS band members anymore... In case you didnt know, Salman was part of the original VS and when they played together a year and a half back at Nazia's tribute, it was Salman who was doing the guitaring for VS, like old times. It was Salman who was urging VS to get back together. For him, thats not a problem, as hes the only one who is enthusiastic about getting VS back together. If you say no, he has his own band now, you are forgetting that Rohail has his own band too, just not as popular and big like Junoon. Even Junaid has 'Adeel' as the guitarist, and are all set as a team. So by your logic Rohail is not a part of VS anymore (which by the way hes not, since there is no VS). As for Shehzad, he hates Rohail for some reason, so I dont see him working for VS anywayz... Since Salman is willing to get the bank back on, Zakki is out of the question.

Yep, thats true, and that was what I was referring too... Its been a while and that never actually took place, but we still have our fingers crossed...
Well... other than nitpicking on who is and is not part of VS.. I guess the conclusion is that VS will not be touring this year, atleast not as a group. Baat khatam.
Is Junaid planning a tour to US or anything? Of Pakistani musicians, I am not a big fan of Junoon, but I did enjoy live concerts of Junaid, Abrar, Shahzad Roy and Ali Haider. Hopefully some of them, if not all, will make it to US this year.
