In these days when Pakistan is literally begging from IMF and world-bank, when the Finance Minister of the PPP govt is saying that he may run out of money to pay salaries, when central bank and other institutions are saying that economy is in real bad shape and things can go worse if govt. did not cut the costs and other un-necessary expenses…
so in the light of these warnings/situation/recommendations
PPP led govt have decided to continue with the Rs 3.0 Billion Project to build lodges for the useless parliamentarians who have so far only added to the misery of the people and have done very little in terms of development
Not to mention, thousands of people who were suffered from the floods of last year are still out in open and waiting for help… i guess they have to wait little more, because after building these lodges etc, if govt. had enough time then only they will think about to help them…

ISLAMABAD: The joint committee of the National Assembly and Senate has decided to continue the development work of Parliament Lodges, Geo News reported on Tuesday.
This was decided in a meeting jointly chaired by Deputy Chairman Senate and Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly.
PML-N representatives in the committee opposed the project while others supported it.
The project worth Rs3 billion would be completed in three years.
Talking to media after the meeting, Deputy Chairman Senate Jan Jamali said that there is dearth of MPs’ residences in the parliament lodges, therefore, this project is vital.
