We had a few relatives visit us a year ago, that was fine - I gave them our bedroom & slept elsewhere. After a few days their son tells me he has invited two of his close friends to stay with us, and hope we do not mind.
I was shocked, because they were already six of them and two more unknown people!!. We managed, but it was tough…!!!

We had a visitor from India staying with us, one day he picks up a spoon and tells me " Yeh ganda hai" so I said 'to safa kar lo na - arey bhai yeha koee nokar chakar thori hain, khod he karna parta hey". So one day after Dinner I said "today its your turn to do the dishes". After that day he never complained about the dishes.!!!.

Another experience: This visitor from India took a lot of pride in repeating that he does not know even how to make tea. And ofcourse he did nothing and expected his wife to serve him, bring his clothes etc etc.

depends on how long the guests are stayng for, i've heard...after 3 days, they're on their own :p

my cousin from pak stayed with us for over 2 months and he took over my room. we hadn't expected him to stay that long, so when my mum told him to use the room in the basement, he told me that he doesn't like the basement. then he finally moved out of my room, but he would still stay there till late at night talking to his friends over the phone. and he would always come in the middle of the night and ask us if there was anything to eat. i used to be like, 'buddy, since u already consider this house urs, consider the friggin fridge urs too'!

Another experience: This guy comes to my house and informed me that he's my brother in laws friend.
Couple of days later, he rings and asks me to help put him up for a few days while he tries to find a job & settle in!!. Thank God I had rung my sister a day before, and she mentioned he was just a neighbour who knew I was in Sydney, somehow he must have taken my phone number & address from my BIL.... ????
