Re: Visiting UK from USA- what to buy in the UK?
seriously there's no shortbread , rich tea , bourbon type biscuit in usa ? I didn't know that. What do americans eat with their tea ?
Well, for one, I think they prefer to drink coffee instead of tea. The milky tea the Brits and us desis are used to drinking is not generally preferred (in my experience, of course, there may well be tea fanatics in the US who I don't know :) ). As for the biscuits, shortbread can still be found in some shops, but other than that cookies (oreos, etc) are more easily found and enjoyed. Nothing like the British biscuits I love! :)
