Visiting Saudi Arabia with Israeli visa

A co-worker of mine claims that the Saudi Authority didn’t let him in because he had an Israeli visa stamped on his American passport.

Is that an official policy of SA or did he just got a bad immigration officer?

Re: Visiting Saudi Arabia with Israeli visa

I believe thats correct. If you have travelled to Israel and then decide to go to Saudi. That is not allowed.

Re: Visiting Saudi Arabia with Israeli visa

hum, I did not know that.

Re: Visiting Saudi Arabia with Israeli visa

Someone tell this to Condi Rice quickly.

Re: Visiting Saudi Arabia with Israeli visa

Thats what I said to my coworker, actually mentioned Cheney. But he ducked it saying he doesn't own any oil wells ... yet.

Re: Visiting Saudi Arabia with Israeli visa

For such cases your friend would have needed a second passport. If you need to visit countries whose visa stamps create problems elsewhere, you can legally hold two valid passports at the same time. At least here in Europe.

Re: Visiting Saudi Arabia with Israeli visa

Yes, if u have visited Israel you cannot enter several middle eastern countries. Umer is right, you can apply for a second passport if u face such a trouble (I dont know about USA/Canada) but in European Union (excluding UK) you can have two passports (the passport number/details will be same, but u will be given two copies of the passport). Check with authorities in USA/Canada they might do the same.

Re: Visiting Saudi Arabia with Israeli visa

Most americans/canadians i know who have to go btwn middle east and israeli countries will have the israeli stamp done on a separate piece of paper. The israeli visa walai know this and are very accommodating. (I have heard from Muslim friends doing phD research who had to visit coutnries multiple times etc...)

Re: Visiting Saudi Arabia with Israeli visa

Namaste & Salaam!

Does this mean nobody from KSA read messages from the GS? or does KSA know this double passport / separate sheet technique and still feels it's accomplishing an an-Israely stand?

Bye

Re: Visiting Saudi Arabia with Israeli visa

^^ Obviously KSA is aware of these and more techniques. The reason for not letting in Israel is political. If they are not enforcing it every way possible, still gets the point across.

Re: Visiting Saudi Arabia with Israeli visa

This is discrimination. Don't forget In Israel we also have Al-Quds mosque where they can come and visit.

Re: Visiting Saudi Arabia with Israeli visa

I wouldn't call it discrimination.

Re: Visiting Saudi Arabia with Israeli visa

Yep, it is discrimination… i guess the Arabs wont let Israeli Visa people in, until Israel stops discriminating and terrorising Palestinians.

I remember around 5 checks on my passport in Beirut… lol, looking for Israeli stamps.

Re: Visiting Saudi Arabia with Israeli visa

yep its very true, if you've been to israel, you can't get into saudi...it clearly states it on our passports, THE PASSPORT IS VALID FOR ALL COUNTRIES IN THE WORLD EXCEPT ISRAEL.
