Visionaries and Inspirational Leaders!

Nations built on Ideas, vision and inspirations. Leaders influence and have visions, strategies for a nation and inspire others to follow them to achieve better life for masses. To me Charisma, Vision and Inspiration are the main characteristics of a True Leader.

In current gloomy environment in Pakistan in this sector. (well for some the current set up is best)

Please share your input about who and what we have available right now or in possible future.

Re: Visionaries and Inspirational Leaders!

Very good topic.

Thank you.

Re: Visionaries and Inspirational Leaders!

I think educated & naive youth in Pakistan have fallen prey to the hateful proaganda of pseudo visionaries..People who envisioned pakistan... MA Jinnah wanted a stable democratic republic....He wanted India and Pakistan to have good relations...

To me Charisma, Vision and Inspiration are the main characteristics of a True Leader.... These are the characterists of ZAid Zaman Hamid as well....But, a true leader never spews hatred or creates war hesteria.....A true leader should have the guts to speak the truth rather than what people want to hear...

MA Jinnah loved pakistan and said, he wants Pakstan and India to have relations just like Canada and USA have....His agenda was not to hear Radio Pakistan Delhi...or he never spewed hatred against non muslims....he never said to attack India or to kill non muslims is a sawab... he never boasted muslims have ruled hindus for a 1000 years....

Rather than following todays pseudo intellectuals and strategists....People should follow principles of Quran e majid.

Re: Visionaries and Inspirational Leaders!

I am not so much into Pakistani politics because how corrupt it is. I do think Imran Khan would have made a much much brighter choice than these old school idiots Zardari, Nawaz Shareef, and all.

Aitzaz Ahsan, Justice (r) Tariq Mehmood, Sherry Rehman, Ayaz Amir, Nusrat Javed, Talat Hussain and Raza Rabbani are people who inspire me.

if you do not know much about Pak politics, how do you how corrupt it is? is it not better to inform oneself so that one can form an educated opinion instead of spouting cliches that are dime a dozen?

he and his party is rejected by the people of Pakistan.

Imran Khan is definitely is ray of light, his success without major change in people mind still be in doubt, he surely can make a mark. in a country where 60% are uneducated and live in remote areas, it will be tougher job for him to the country by storm as a leader.

@yamahaguy

well I never pointed to Zaid Hamid, I think he is just one many people in Pakistan who know about the some facts and some do get carried away with it. still dont think he can just take whole Pakistani by his leadership skills. he surely can educate youth about Pakistan ideology.
leave these pseudo one according to you aside, tell me any living or up coming example or talent?

@firenze

Kiyani is a just good military leader, I dont think he has any charisma to inspire but only professionalism.

guys like nawaz are just another saja and gama with no vision, intellect or any charisma. he came to politics only the basis of money and links, he cant produce two line speech by himself. I have met him in person 3 times, not an inspirational material at all.

It is corrupt. One doesn't have to eat and breathe politics to know what corruption looks like. The reason Pakistan is in this state is due to corruption. Had Pakistan appointed better leaders, the situation would be reversed.

Pakistan was ruled for more than half her life by the military. so, surely not all of Pakistan's ills are because of the corruption of politicians?

I grew up religiously avoiding reading the political sections of the paper 'cause I thought it was pointless and hopeless and because of the conspiracy theories that we're taught since we're kids about how big and bad politicians are. yes, some politicians do very evil things because they get more of a chance to do them than the common man. but at the same time, ppl like Aitzaz Ahsan, Sherry Rehman, Raza Rabbani, Ayaz Amir, Sartaj Aziz, Pervez Rashid, etc are politicians as well. and they're all very honest, upstanding men.

it is easy and I would say even childish to say all politicians are corrupt. once you peel the layers, you will see that politicians are no worse than the rest of Pakistani society.

Pakistani politicians need to be criticized for what they do wrong and if we have proof - but not for everything under the sun.

Re: Visionaries and Inspirational Leaders!

and Imran is no ray of light. Imran is nothing but a jamaatia with an Oxford degree.

it saddens me to say so because like every Pakistani guy, I grew up worshiping the guy since I was a kid. he was my hero - the ultimate role model and in some way still is. but his politics is not my politics. he has disappointed immensely with his right wing Jamaat-e-Islami style politics.

Well, I never said all 100% of them are corrupt. Neither did I claim to know much about Pakistani politics. Yes, there's corruption and MOST politicians are corrupt. I don't see much work getting done in Pakistan to improve its condition, but I do see the kind of houses they live in. It doesn't look too good for them if you ask me. All I see is them talking about "stuff." Now whether or not it gets done is not their concern, they got their fame. I will accept that the people you mentioned are not corrupt if they show me what they can do and then DO it. They have had enough time for trials...seriously.
