Vision of a Good World

A WORLD AT PEACE (WHERE HUMAN RIGHTS CAN THRIVE)

It would be a world with many regional powers, each keeping the other in check, and no clear superpower to dominate and abuse the world.

US – Dollar hegemony diminishes from present 67 percent to about 35 percent of world’s foreign exchange reserves (FER’s). After this, the only way the US would be able to afford Pentagon would be by ending democracy and imposing martial law, or in other words, starve citizens in order to feed the military-industrial complex, created by the 5.4 trillion dollars (in today’s dollars) World War 2 (the mother of all wars). Dollar has only one way to go – down!

EU – Euro hegemony rises from present 25 percent to 50 percent of world FER’s, which will afford the Europeans, already beginning to enjoy a life of luxury, a lot of goodies, including a NATO-free unified defense. With 500 million citizens, EU is the largest economy in the world, with the highest GDP (31 percent of entire world’s nominal GDP), which is why it makes sense for trade to be denominated in euros. Many more countries are dying to join the 27-nation union. Euro has only one way to go – up!

Russia – Now a capatalist and efficient Russia, it has most of the Soviet arsenal, and is producing state of the art weapons, some superior to the US weapons. It is riding high on oil and gas, and repaying it’s Soviet-era debt, which is now down to 50.1 billion dollars – an amount the US piles up on it’s debt books every 34 days. It is just beginning to ask roubles for the 25 percent energy it supplies to Europe, which should further boost the rouble. It wants not only it’s old republics back, it wants it’s old alliances back.

China – With a growth rate over 11 percent, and FER’s at over 1.534 trillion dollars, China has become a supermarket to the world. Unlike others who pay dearly to research and develop military technology, which then finds commercial uses, Chinese are doing it the other way around. Their military technology comes from commercial technology; and every now and then, they break into Pentagon’s computers to save on own research and development.
