this is continued from my last post of ‘visa’ its been 13 weeks since we applied now for settlement in UK, so i emailed the embassy in islamabad and they mailed back saying that our application is on hold as they are making enquiries…does anybody know what enquiries they make and has anybody been through someting similar…how long will it take ? 
Please make dua for me that Allah makes things easy for us and grants us success and unites us.

Probably checking things over with your employer....I'm not suggesting that it wasn't legit but sometimes they write to the employer to check the details provided, especially if your salary going into your bank account is paid in under a different name to the company you work for.
Or if they have doubts over the suitability of the accomadation you propose to live in, then they write to the council and ask them to confirm its availability and condition etc.
Don't worry about it too much, you should hear back soon Inshahallah.

our application was successful alhamdolillah. we found out this week. just thought i would share the good news, InshAllah InshAllah we will at last be together with our baby. request for duas that Allah T'ala makes things easy for us both.
