Visa service at Pakistan Embassy D.C

Any one has experience of getting visa stamped at Pakistan embassy in D.C? We need to get our little one pakistani visa but I don’t want to mail the passport to them.
I am planning to go to D.C for one day to get the stamp, do they even do walk ins and will they return it in one day? I spoke to some one in the embassy last month and they said I can just walk in with the required documents and they’ll return it the same day. But now no one is picking up the phone since yesterday so that I can get a confirmation.

I'm sorry if my reply doesn't help much, but the only consulate which has same-day visa listed is the Houston consulate. It only serves the states under its' jurisdiction though. Other consulate websites list the normal processing times, and nothing about urgent or same-day processing.

Please keep trying to contact the D.C. Consulate because only they can tell you with certainty how they process urgent visa requests. You may want to call them during certain hours, the hours for dropping off documents and picking up documents are listed on there.

During the Holy month of Ramadhan the Embassy of Pakistan will observe the following working hours from June 18, 2015:

Yep, they welcome walk ins. I got my visa stamped in d.c. Dropped off my documents in the morning and was asked to pick up my passport the next day.

They are actually a bit notorious with same day pick ups :/ and with Ramadan - it might be steep

People mail their passports to embassies all the time. Not sure why you've got issues.
