Passport required.

  • Passport and/or passport replacing documents must be valid
    for the period of intended stay.

Visa required.

Visa Issuance:

  • On arrival: if required, visa can be issued for a max. stay
    of 30 days. (SEE NOTE 21235)
    NOTE 21235: Normal passport holders being nationals of

    Pakistan wishing to stay for more than 30 days, to a max.
    not exceeding 90 days, must obtain local sponsorship. In
    the case of: already being in the Maldives and extending a
    stay beyond an original 30 days stay: the sponsor must
    inform Immigration at Male before the expiry of the 30 days

    visa on arrival; or arriving in Male for an intended stay
    of between 30 and a max. of 90 days: the passenger must
    obtain a local sponsor prior to arrival. The sponsor must
    inform Immigration at Male at least one day prior to the

    arrival of the passenger. Whichever is applicable, the
    total stay in Maldives cannot exceed a max. of 90 days.
    Additional Information:

  • Visitors must hold tickets and documents required for their
    return/onward journey. Visitors entering the Maldives
    without a hotel reservation or a Maldivian sponsor

I didn't have to get a visa when I went to HongKong back in 2004, did they change it now? I was issued a 30 days visa at the airport.

Yes, Hong Kong has changed its visa policy. Now u have u get a visa label which comes through air mail from HK Immigration Service. Immigration Department | ??? Apply directly to them by air mail or courier and they sent visa label in 3-4 weeks. Fee is HK$160. It is sad that to have this requirement in place for Pakistani passport since mid 2005. Just adds to the delay.

Since you are in Vancouver, if you fly Cathay Pacific to for traveling to Karachi, it is worth to have HK stay for 3-4 days.

As far as I know Malaysia grants on-arrival visas to Pakistanis as well, but is missing in the list above.

From 1st Aug, 2008 they have suspended VOA (Visa on Arrival) for us :o

Oh I didn't know that. My cousin just travelled there on his Pk passport in July, so I thought it still applies.

This is unfortunate.

Me and my Pakistani husband who has only a Pakistani passport went to the Maldives with visa free and was granted visa at the airport.

The High Commission of Malaysia in Islamabad appoints Drop Box Facility Agent for handling of visa application. For year 2007-08, there are seven (7) companies / agencies which were appointed as Drop Box Facility Agent as follows:

  4. Two (2) passports size photograph of applicant
  5. Original air ticket and two (2) photocopies (confirmed and return ticket)
  6. Traveller's cheques / bank statement
  7. Invitation letter (if any)
  8. Payment of visa fee

Note: visa without reference is required for purpose of social visit.

· Documents required for visa application with reference (visa will issued after the application is being referred and approved by Department of Immigration Malaysia) are:

  1. Original approval letter from Department of Immigration Malaysia and one (1) photocopy
