has anybody recently applied for a visa to uk? I want to apply as a dependent on my husband who is on his post study work visa. All documentation is finally completed and ill be applying in december inshAllah. I want to know about how long do they take? On their website the processing times are not mentioned for dependent visas also what are the chances of rejection? I am quite nervous because my rukhsati is in march and i want to have my visa till then.

i dont know how useful this will be to you as i dont know much about dependant visas but when my me and my husband applied for his visa to come to the UK as my spouse, we had to wait 3 months for a reply. Im guessing you may have to wait a similar time.

^^ you stand correct .. its actually about 4 months .. but 3 months is from the date they begin to process and takes 3 months to do all that .. and about 2 weeks to get teh paperwork to abu dhabi and after 3 months 2 weeks to get the paperwork with passport back to pak..
