Virtual Reality

The virtual reality we are living in: Name of the game is life. My question is do you feel lost/depressed/hurt? When people around you (say colleagues/neighbors) keep on dieing right and left and you know only when the charity contribution slip arrives at your table.

For my environment the reason is medical/health for others it may be car accidents, natural or for some like in Iraq it might be a suicide lover.

Do you blame people (deceased one/or ?) for not making ‘smart choices’?
Do you take it as his/her time was up and we all have to follow sooner or later?
Does actually the knowledge/reason of passing away really matter to you?
Do you take a moment to look back at your own virtual reality?

Re: Virtual Reality

no i dont  regardless HOW crappy the situation is, u ALWAYS know what u have to do, sometimes mind doesnt WANNA register this pre-calculated decision

sometimes.. suicide-bomber is a different case.. but other people, they knew better in terms of eating right etc

only if its a perfectly healthy fit person in a crash/accidental death..

in most of the cases, yes.. maybe to learn from it .. maybe it COULD’ve BEEN avoided..

always end up comparing

Re: Virtual Reality

Many thanks for your input, whatever you said is true under normal conditions, when I typed my questions I was thiking about conditions where not so normal becomes normal, like people living with HIV and AIDS specially the childern born with HIV. For wise ones 'cause they are aware of the fact that these childern usually have limited number of days/years, so its some thing normal. For me ... well .. I cry.

Re: Virtual Reality

people living in the west, including me, are living in a society that DENIES death as a natural component of life.
thought scientifically death is NECESSARY and UNAVOIDABLE!

some people, especially doctors, are trying all their best to push death as far as they can, desperatly, sometimes so deperatly that even life is becoming only a miserable struggle to earn one more painfull second of breath before death.

we are brought up with the thinking that if we do not smoke, do not drink alcohol, do not drive too fast, be carefull to cross road and eat right and do exercise…we will live til 100 years, but it’s is BS!

human body is much more complicated, there are millions of desease, hundreds of possible accidents, or natural catastrophe, the truth is we don’t know when “our time come”, for the believers like me, only Allah knows.

the wise attitude is to be fully aware that death is part of life, and that it can strike us anytime. Being carefull about lifestyle and security procedures is not a guarantee that we won’t die young, and even kid with AIDS don’t know how he will die, can be due to AIDS, can be to a mad driver when crossing road in front of school.

death is part of life, it’s life we have to live with it and accept it, and honestly people living in the thirld world do better know how to handle death than westerners…we have to learn from them that life must be enjoyed and not wasted running against death!

Re: Virtual Reality

-yeah sometime i do. some wounds are so deep that i don’t think they can ever heal. But i dont bother paying attention to them… I am still painting my life all over again with different beautiful colors :rainbow:

I usually don’t like to blame people i blame myself for trusting them or having faith in them..

People who are dead we should ONLY remember them in good terms.. We all have to die one day i would not like knowing someone was bashing me while i was being judged by Allah. - this thought gives me shivers.

Re: Virtual Reality

Agree with some and disgree with some.
1- a healthy lifestyle does increase lifespan on avg
#2- it does not factor in accidental deaths
#3- You can live a healthy lifestyle but be dealt with some serious disease and that can cut your life span

In the end, its not just the quantity of time you have in this life, but also the quality. Living healthy and taking care of yourself can improve the quality of life considerably.

"Do you blame people (deceased one/or ?) for not making ‘smart choices’?"

no i dont blame them after they have died for living the way they lived (keeping in mind that they were well aware of the consequences of their actions e.g. smoking is injurious to their health and they were adults) because it was their life and they chose to live it that way and now they're gone so whats the deal with blaming them?

in case they didnt know their lifestyle was killing them then i'd just feel remorse.

If they are still alive its a whole different issue. then yes im going to make it a point to inform them of what i think about their lifestyle.

personally i would love to have had a few loved one's deaths pushed away (even a few years). unfortunately i was not well-informed of all their day to day lifestyle else i would have done something about it.
