I'm not talking about statistics although I could about crime rate going up when its Ramadan but thats not the point I'm trying to make. what I've observed with knowing Pakistanis who live in Pakistan ages raging from 24 ~ 30 who also range in class. Some are educated, some not.
Let me be clear with you I'm not trying to bash Pakistan or those who live there. I don't see it as a terrorist country or a third world country. I just think its hypocritical for those who live in Islamic countries saying they are "more" pious than those who live overseas or if somebody has more liberal views people start thinking its because they are "westernized".
I just turned the tables a bit knowingly it would piss a few of you off. If you can criticize and generalize other countries for how they are and call people westernized you should be able to take the criticism and generalization as well. :)
@ABC1111 I think that times are changing and although people will always condemn those who do it. I think people are becoming more relaxed about doing sinful acts knowing that its sinful.

I would be hurt if my SO wasn't a virgin. I know many who are relaxed about this and you can call me stupid for saying this but being with the person you love and only you and him know each others tastes and fantasies I believe thats special and I would get too annoyed if I knew he has been with somebody else..

because i see a lot of people here........who talk as if they know pakistan inside out..........yet they have only visited pakistan a couple of times...few weeks at max............

Meh, not so hung up on these issues. Ironically I hold myself up to a much higher moral standard.

Not at all. As NomiCA has already said it seems you have never been to Pakistan or lived here. A couple of friends who have engaged in pre-marital sex do boast of the girls were deeply involved and in love with them. What they all said suggested that the girls were stupid, naive, deeply in love with them and thought they would live happily married (but that was never to happen). So yeah when it comes to girls in Pakistan no they are not ok with pre-marital sex but yes they are gullible, naive and easily exploited. And the guys are strictly against it too. Not a single guy (even those who engage in pre-marital sex themselves) would accept a non-virgin girl. You can call it double standards or whatever but it is the reality.

what are you going on about o.O Its funny you assume I know nothing about Pakistan and also quite amusing that you don't think times are changing. I can't say for all Pakistanis who are in their 20s but from what I gather those who do sleep around set boundaries before hand so they know what each other is getting into. Also considering that I know more than a few who would accept a non-virgin girl I say that is false. :)

As I said times are changing. Not just in Pakistan but all over the world what was not acceptable back then is now. I'm sure your parents wouldn't have worn western clothes when they were young but there are plenty of university students nowadays who wear western clothes more than shalwar kameezes. subtle I know but its the same attitude with alcohol, sex, tattoos and drugs. Some scholars even say smoking is prohibited in Islam but people smoke and people are becoming ok with that.

Listen, if a guy is really interested in you (at least in Pakistan) he wont sleep with you. He will respect you and treat you in a proper way unlike a slut or a sex object. He will simply send his parents over to your house. Dont know why you girls cant get this simple point.

Why are you being patronizing? Does having a girlfriend or boyfriend mean that they'll have pre-marital sex? Please come out of that cave you live in. How can you not understand the concept of girls not being stupid enough to be manipulated in sleeping with guys. Do you really think its that easy for guys to get laid? Sad that you are not only sexist towards females but males too.
Times are changing and although arrange marriages will still be prevalent but so will love marriages.
