On current form, India could give PAK a hard time come Feb. What do you think?
We do not have too many established batsman like India. We can’t depend on bowling alone.
Taufeeq Umar getting out on a duck in Auckland is worrysome.

Gandalf..one duck doesnt proof anything..
I think its going to be very good and very competitive series.Indians do have good batting lineup but then they dont have bolwers to get any team out twice on subcontinent wicket. So advantage of India is negated by their bad bowlers.Where as Pakistan has good bowling lineup in shape of Shoib and Sami. So its gonna be close.Plus Pakistani will be playing at home.

i think india has to include some very fast bowlers in their side to face pakistan. this australia series should give you guys some ideas as to who has genuine pace. india, once a very proud spin bowling nation is struggling to find a true spin match winner. do you guys have any hot shot prospect that can give you guys hope. please give me some names. as far as our bowling dept is concerned, i don't think we have any problem when it comes to fast bowling but our spin bowling isn't exactly the type to write home about. kaneria seems to be a effective test bowler but his inability to take wickets in ODI worries me a lot. i would choose both saqlain and kaneria in the squad so we can plug either one if the other is struggling. we all know about india's batting strength but for pakistan to be successful with the bat, farhat, yasir, inzi, yoyo all need to have outstanding tours in NZ so we can have some confidence going into the series. bottom line is contrary to the popular belief, i really think fast bowling will be the key to win the test series. yes, even on placid sub continent pitches. shoaib and sami constantly clocked 147+ in pakistan for the last couple months, as for india, i really don't have a clue. what did zaheer and nehra clock in the tri nations series in india?
I don't care who wins...I just want these 2 teams play again! :D

indians want india to win, and pakistanis want pakistan to win. you sometimes act like there's something wrong with that. we are just fans who want our team to just embarrass the other. again, there's nothing wrong with that.
by the way, regarding kaneria. i am really worried about this kid. suppose he gets hammered against india. you know some jahils will raise the question of "gaddar hindu." hey, look what they did to wasim's dad. certainly you don't think i am out of line.
I don't think Kaneria's loyalty has ever come under question, I don't think it ever will.
let him get hammered by india and then see what happens. i agree with you, he is a pakistani no matter his religion but you and i both know pakistan isn't exactly the country where a hindu's patriotism is rock solid when it comes to the opinion of our "islam ka jhanda" mullahs.
I think after a long time, India and Pak teams look equal on paper. It is a fact that for most of the past decade the Pakis had a stronger side than India's(man2man).
The Indians do have a better batting lineup but Pakis are clearly the better bowling side. Both the teams will be under tremendous pressure to come good... Pak somehwhat more because they will be playing at home... I do not think Akhtar/Sami will pose much problems for the Indians top order though.... but they might be useful in quickly finishing the Indian tail enders. I think the most crucial and deciding factor will be Pak's batting. If they come good... Pak will be the winning side.
But I will put my money on India... and that's not just because I am an Indian.
More than pace, line & length will be important. I hope the Pakistani bowlers don't get carried away and break their backs bowling fast and wide, like in the world cup.
Pace is good to have but our batsman will have to click. Otherwise, India has shown that they can chase a score.
Pakistan will have to be prudent. Over confidence with our bowling will be our downfall.
wow....11 posts and no fight. This is bad.Ehsan bhai cannot have such a peaceful life.

you almost sound scared buddy. you sure you're pakistani. i know over confidence is destructive but seems like you don't have much faith in pakistani team.
It should be a really interesting series. The key will be if our young batsmen can take the pressure in this kind of series. Yassir, Taufiq and Imran will really be put to the test. I think as of right now we are missing one really strong guy in the middle order. Asim Kamal may be the player, but we'll see how this series goes for him. Younis Khan seems to be long forgotten but he is a candidate as well.
As mentioned earlier, our spin bowling is weak which could be a factor in the tests. The Indians have one strong and experienced spinner in Kumble, maybe by then Saqi will finally be back on his game, that could be a huge factor as well. Watching Kaneria bowl against India should be a treat, I can imagine there is going to be lots of media attention on that.
Yoyo and Inzi will really have to preform. I think people underrate our batting a but, especially after the World Cup. We should'nt foreget, Inzi and Yoyo have test scores of 329 and 294 respectively.
Whatever happens, it should be a really entertaining series.

I think in India - Pakistan matches it normally always comes down to which team hold their nerves better. As far as Pakistan being better in the past on a man to man basis, well I doubt there was any team better then Pakistan's on a man2man basis. Not a whole lot of teams have so many people in their side who can almost single handidly win matches for the team, but the problem was no one really performed consistently. This new Pakistani team is shaping out really well, and though India has been playing excellent cricket , in India-Pakistan match, that doesnt matter. They both will go all out to win the match and make sure their public dont throw "gaanday aanaday" at them. Indian's are getting a lot pf praise right now from their publich but trust me if they loose agaisnt us the same public will do some weird stuff.
We definatley have an edge as far bowling is concerned, but a lot of people are giving India a big edge in batting over Pakistan. Our batsman at Indo 0 Pak wickets are very good. I know India has Tendulkar, Dravid, Laxman and Ganguly but we alos have Inzi, Youhana, Imran and Yasir. And while the last three might not be as experienced as the Indian batsman but who cares. They are used to of playing at home and they can handle India bowlers. So dont put your money on India, I think we will win this series and that would be our first major step in the direction of being the top team in the world. this team has talent and potential to get there, lets hope they perform consistently as well.
This series is 2 months away and u ppl have already started ..... can't wait ..... to remind u both sides have important series to start or going on
