I think it got deleted, understandably so but th problem is its all over the internet and its not like no one has seen it. The problem is its already online and cant be hidden. I heard its deleted from youtube but the video is now on facebook.
Who uploaded it, recorded it ..big questions.
The video looks bad but we need to see it in the before and after context ie what led to all of this and what happened after this? Whoever videoed it has been selective of what scenes to show.
What if these people being tortured had known the whereabouts of there "taliban" relatives. What if this "soft treatment" had made them confess and probably saved the lives of more people in the long run. Its ok to say they are elderly men but what if these people were actual criminals or had known where these rather dangerous criminals are? Life is not a picnic in the warzone - millions had to flee their homes, a very painful process, much more painful than this 10 minutes.
Admittedly the video looks very pathetic but thats the way it was supposed to be. Whoever posted it did not want to show the army in any positive light. Should people like Muslim Khan have a long trial where time and money is wasted whe their guilt is well known - i think such people should be hanged without delay personally.
This is nothing new - we know the army has been involved in human rights abuses in Bangaldesh, Balochistan and Karachi in the 90's - where many non-combatants have been killed.
How on earth coul they let such incidents be videoed though?
it is indeed a soft treatment but is very humiliating enough to stir the nerves of pashtuns who place the honour above all things.
