It used to be so easy just copy and paste… but now it’s a bit more tricky with these codes…

Any chance we can have the good old system back please… :lb:

I’m only asking becuase it was easier and saved time and tantrums.

Whilst i am perfectly happy that we can still enjoy the features it does need a bit more work.

So is there any leeway on the matter?

Personally i dont like this system becuase it’s a little time consuming and defeats the objective of a quick chat.

On the other hand i guess it’s probably a measure to prevent excessive posts i guess?

Faris it seriously takes me 5 seconds to embed a video.

Copy the youtube video code and place it in the following GS codes yt ] /yt ] … How hard is that? :emmy:

I agree it used to be easier but this isn’t rocket science either.

The weird thing is that the video embeds itself (just like it used to) automatically in PMs and some other forums. :konfused: so that old feature isn’t entirely vanished, its still there in some other sections (i.e. u copy&paste the youtube link in your post and the video embeds itself)

Okay i guess i'm just from the stone age so sorry to be so encumbent upon you other folks.

But you wont believe how much time it took me to figure a way how to imbed a video today i needed help from Waleed Bhai...

becuase i entered the link and put the codes on the end... nothing happened.

I had to shorten the link and then add the codes... i'm sure with practice i might make it work faster but it was still a wee bit annoying the old way was just easier...

It's like going back to VHS or tape players when you had been used to DVD's.

Oh well thanks anyway BBC i'll work round it.

I am confused myself.

BarbieCue-Are the sites only listed in the above link allowed on GS interface?

You cant use another site beside youtube, google video, n veoh, etc?

NyFella, you can only embed the videos for which GS has provided embedding codes such as youtube, veoh, google etc and not from any other video hosting websites. As far as I know, they’re all working fine but may not be for some people due to the updates.

Sorry that video embedding is confusing for many but read my last post in this thread http://www.paklinks.com/gs/video-gallery/293313-video-embedding-tutorial.html and it should become clearer.

Azkar bhai is also looking into it so InshaAllah it’ll become easier soon.
