I have seen my kids getting video game hacks from websites and then beating the game.
What is the point in that ? What kind of fun and satisfaction one can get by using hacks ?

mirch unkil: its not fun at all :no: we hate it too. we try hard to do it first and if the game turns into sum pissing game then we have to use hacks or cheats
we mostly avoid using cheats

i agree with billo. i have almost always finished my games without cheats but kabhi kabar a game gets so bloody on my nerves that i have to go to the websites in order to finish it or help me finish it. like for example i went to a website to get cheats for hitman silent assassin:chai:

it’s like…you want to get to the end of the movie. but there are some ads in the movie. so if you have tivo, you forward through the ads. it’s like thta. you have hurdles, and you want to pass through the game to get to the end of the game, to see how it ends.
it’s fun the first few times, then you get bored, and you want to play the game the right way. unless it involves virtual money. then you have to use the cheat code for that

If you use cheats then you just want to know what will happen next and thats it

There is a Movi by the name of Next . . .in the movi the hero is able to see the future two minuts and by these 2 minuts he decides what he should do . . .
So you want to say that by using cheats gamers actullay finds out whats the best possible way to play a game . . .
Not necessarily the best way, but just a different way to play. Sometimes to get certain items in a game it takes a lot of time and hard work. With the use of cheats/hacks/glitches etc. you can get them much faster. Sometimes games get annoying with the backtracking and what not. Some games also have glitches that allow you to bypass these parts. So it's not necessarily something that harms your experience. I remember in an NFS game, we once used codes to use different types of vehicles, like the school bus, T-Rex and other stuff.

The one case where I would see it as something that harms the overall experience would be in online games. I used to play Phantasy Star Online, where players would work on leveling up their characters, finding new items such as weapons, armors etc.
In games like that, some of these items were supposed to be rare. When people started to acquire these items through cheats or glitches, they became more common and that would upset the balance of the game. So it affected everyone's game (if they used these items online), not just ones own.

I have never been in an online gaming but i can imagine this can be the worst use of cheats . . .

Sometimes I rent games, like for instance heavenly sword for the PS3 was a quick game and there was no point in buying it (no multiplayer). I had to finish it in 4-5 days, and in the end it was just too hard with whatever practice I had to beat the king. However, at the same time I wanted to see the end cute scene, so ended up using the cheat.
