hey guys… i just bought another laptop(toshiba brand) but its a used one…it already has windows xp media edition installed in it.. plus all the software and programs the previous owner was using.. anyway…i found out that it was working a bit slower …so i went to add/remove programs..and accidently removed “video controller (VGA compatible)” and now everytime i go on internet explorer… it doesnt scroll down properly… when i go to device manager .. i see that this driver needs to be installed again…
anyone know where can i download ‘video controller (vga compatible)’?
plz help guys..or else i have no point of keepin this laptop.. i wanted it for internet only..
a. Check your C: drive, a lot of the manufacturers put all their drivers in a folder on there.
b. In Device Manager right click on the yellow VGA icon and try updating the driver. First the drivers might still be there even though uninstalled. Second it may automatically find the drivers off the 'net.

If I were you I would install win xp on it.
1-99.99% you will have your vga driver in win xp
2-You will have a fresh laptop with out any undesired softwares on it.
^^KA, a lot of laptops come with components whose drivers are not included with XP. Specially older laptops. Best is to contact the manufacturer for drivers.
Its just I had trouble finding driver for older ibm laptop.
After spending few hrs I just try adjusting display setting to like 1200-900 , I came as a surprise that It let me do that.
Than it occur to me that that was the reason they didn't have vga driver on for xp on their website.
