Video Call Backgrounds

I have tried lots of real backgrounds while doing video calls with colleagues. I am not a fan of virtual backgrounds though, as so far they look quite unnatural, but if I encounter better ones in the future I'm open to that. I often have lots of trouble setting up my backgrounds when I'm not at my usual spot, so better virtual backgrounds would be great. I was recently on a video call when one of the participant's virtual background developed some glitch and part of the room behind him was visible. He did not find out until another participant pointed that out.

I want to get perfect professional background when doing video calls, but that seems unachievable when working from home.

What struggles have you been through with the backgrounds ? And what fixes have you tried?

I think webex backgrounds are a joke. Haven't tried any other ones. I usually sit with my back towards something unicolored or white. Looking forward responses from others as I can use a tip or two.

I use MS teams for business meetings so it has perfect virtual backgrounds. It even has options to setup one of your pictures from library to be set as background and thats kinda cool.

Yesterday i was on zoom but couldnt find option to setup the background, not sure if i'll have to be a paid member for that.

Where my desk is at currently, the background doesnt come out as much tidy so either i've to adjust the camera or find the right virtual one.

I use google meet for my video calls and I do use blur background for my calls.
