We can start with this behind-the-scenes video of a car rollover stunt that provides more that ten minutes of detailed info on each part of the process.

The star - after stunt driver Tom Harper and that Crown Vic - is the air ram that takes just 1.1 seconds to propel and retract a giant ‘foot’ onto the ground to get the car flipping. It is apparently Harper’s own design and supplants the cannon system that launches a projectile in order to launch the car.
