Victim of false advertising.

Have you ever been victim of false advertising .
I have been victim of deceptive advertising many a times. Once I bought a couple of sweaters from a big name store in Pakistan during their annual sale event. When I brought them home both of them had visible defects.
I took them back for an exchange or refund , they were insisting that they have those items on sale because they have some kind of defects in them. I told them that I would not even buy that stuff if I knew that that the stock on sale is defective . I said you have big name why do you want to ruin your reputation by selling defective stuff . I insisted on talking to owner or manager of the store , who was gracious enough to give me an exchange . They soon changed their policy , their ads started to mention that the stuff on sale is not defective in any way and they will take it back if customer finds any defect after purchase.

P.S: Please avoid using real names of brands and companies in your stories. I will share more of mine.

Re: Victim of false advertising.

**i'm always suspicious or skeptical about any in-store sales back home. i only buy big-ticketed items at a store who i know them somehow, directly or thru someone. i once bought an emergency light kit for my sister, it didn't work after two days. i took it back to them and i was surprised to hear what they had to say in their defense. the guy said "bhai saahab maiN to yeh nahiiN banaataa...aap company waaloN se contact kareN vo jo kar sakeNge vo kar deNge...maiN kuchh nahiiN kar saktaa...sorry!"...i was stunned.

i'll be sharing a very interesting story regarding the purchase of a fridge in India. :D**
