Hey Canadians and outsiders, have you had a chance to travel from east2west / west2east on VIA?

How was your experience like? What was the best location? How much did it cost ya?

I didn’t pay anything, my friends work at VIA Rail so he is allowed to bring a guest along with him. We went east and I absolutely loved it. It was a great experience, if you have time on your hand I would recommend it. Actually, I prefer bus over airplane anyday. Try it, and you’ll know why but you have to have time on your hand and plan ahead.

Yea, we went to Nova Scotia and then worked for our stay on a barque.

I have travelled with viarail from toronto to ottawa once about 7/8 years back and i absolutely loved it. I have travelled via greyhound from toronto to vancouver and loved that trip. Greyhound has a 14 day advance pass and sometimes they have companion fares...and that was the reason i went with them.
