Hit the nail on the head.
Regardless of country ,the foot soldiers get the shaft.
The best way to honor veterans is to ensure they get good medical care, a job waiting when they return.
And ensure we don’t send them off to unnecessary wars. All this flag waving is meaningless without the above.
