I Have a motorola T720.
Is it wise to take it to Pakistan??? My flight is in 2 hours! PLz no flooding.
I need an urgent answer, will it work there if i get it unlocked???

Yes, Its a sim card phone, and I plan on using it there, can i do that? And bring it back here to use my old rogers service again?

yea if u get it unlocked in pakistan it'll probably work worldwide and then when u get back you can switch whatever type of plan (or if prepaid, then that) u were using b4

Its on contract....so u're saying I can go there, get it unlocked...use the pay as u go service there, and then bring it back here, put in the old sim card, and i't'll work?

I also have a Motorola T720 and took it to Pakistan. Sure you can get it unlocked and it'll work, but if you wanna bring it back and use it here, then forget it. Make sure you take the original charger by motorola with you as the ones in Pakistan are # 2. They almost fried my phone.
So yeah, take the original charger with you. Don't use the one that you buy from there. Just get the DC converter and plug your original charger in.

I meant it in a sense that it'll fudge the battery as I believe it did to mine. And second thing is that those people may unlock it (illegal) but I don't think US people will unlock the phone unlocked by them.
Before I left, I called Cingular and Motorola and asked them to unlock it for me but they said there's no such thing as unlocking. Ofcourse they were lieing because it's like hacking and they won't promote it. But Pakistanis did it. That's why I think it's illegal, otherwise cingular or motorola would've unlocked it for me. Now, when Pakistanis unlock the phone and install their network stuff in it, ofcourse it'll "belong" to them. When you bring it back here and ask them to unlock it for you, they will say "Why did you use our phone on other networks etc"
Phones in Pakistan are cheap. You can take one that you don't use here with you and then threw it away after you are done. Phones in Pakistan are as cheap as 2000 rupees. I think it'll be better if you buy the phone there instead of messing with this one, unless you plan to throw it away afterwards.

too late to answer your question but umm I never went to pakistan in my entire life American Born Cute Desi - ABCD.. but what I heard through friends it will work there.. and have fun in Pakistan have a safe trip and give my salamz to our country..
