one day a man goes to karachi’s bird bazaar and finds a pair of male parrots retailing for 1000..
the man asks the dealer why are the parrots so expensive..
the dealer replies “these are special parrots. as you can see one of them is continuously reading a ‘tasbeeh’ and the other one is continuously prostrating, they will keep ‘barkat’ in your house”..
the man decides to finally buy the parrots. the parrots keep on reading tasbeeh and prostrating. finally one day the man buys a female parrot and puts it in the same cage.
now the parrot who was prostrating now says to the parrot who was reading tasbeeh “ab tasbeeh parna ruk jao dua qabool ho gayi”
once a mulla comes to a man’s house to collect some charity.. the mulla notices that the man has a parrot who is continuously swearing and uttering alarmingly derogatory remarks in the background
the mulla offers the man to train the parrot so the parrot will stop swearing (for free).. the man agrees
the next day the mulla phones the man to come to his place and that he has “cured” the parrot.. the man is surprised as to how quickly the mulla has “cured” the parrot.. however the man proceeds to the mulla’s place
the parrot keeps silent as the man talks to the mulla.. the man asks “how did you cure my parrot so quickly?”.. the maulana replies “i didn’t.. he just got normal and was looking humbly at me as soon as i got him here”..
the parrot now suddenly squawks towards the man “abey o kameenay mujhe kis bhaloo kay haathon chor kar nikal liya tha!”
