Very dry skin due to weather

Hi guys

my face skin has become very dry-its like all flaky and looks really bad…ive been using E45 lotion and its not been helping..usually i wear clean and clears moisturiser..but these days that doesnt help so i have started using E45…

what can I do about this?

Its due to the weather being really cold.. and long use of heating

is there a mask i can use to hydrate my skin? any home remedies?

i am trying to drink a lot of water..

Thanks

Re: Very dry skin due to weather

I heard that if you put a bowl of water near your radiator it keeps the moisture in the air so your skin won't go so dry..When my skin is really dry and sensitive I just put vaseline on my face when I'm at home or at night and sleep in it..
Hope this helps

Re: Very dry skin due to weather

yea, i've had dry patches on my face as well.

I use vaseline but also, cut down on using too much toner because that can dry out skin like crazy!

Also, use a really good night moisturiser.

Re: Very dry skin due to weather

Astral cream is really good. Try that. I use that daily. Its really good. You can get it at superdrugs or boots or any supermarket.

Neutrogena and Mosqueta Rose Oil

Re: Very dry skin due to weather

What I do is i mix a little bit of vaseline petroleum jelly with my normal face cream, body lotions and then apply it..it works for me..maybe u can try it...

For very dry skin apply vaseline on when u're face is slightly wet/damp. Glycerine is also a great mositurizer, u may apply it directly to u're face. Switch to a creamy foam cleanser and stay away from products that contain alcohol.

Re: Very dry skin due to weather

try mixing a few drops of joboba oil with ur regular moisturizer. it helps flakiness

Re: Very dry skin due to weather

Olive oil and coconut oil have saved my skin this winter. Like Gina said, apply the moisturizer when skin is slightly damp to seal in the moisture...like when you're still a little damp from the shower. Make sure you're hydrated on the inside (lots of water). And invest in a good quality humidifier.

Re: Very dry skin due to weather

As piyari said - keep a bowl of water near the radiator to keep moisture in the room - or alternatively use a plant, both will do the same job.

Try lowering the heat slightly too. When you apply your moisturiser, wet your face a little with luke warm water. This will help lock in extra moisture in the skin.
