I just saw the trailor of the new movie Vertical Limit. It looks like they are showing K-2 in there. Is it really K-2. And if it is then does anyone know if it is made in Pakistan?

sorry buddy, even though the trailer mentions (and supposedly) shows Pakistan, it’s not.
The movie was filmed in New Zealand, although there were pakistanis, indians and russians included as extras (mountain crew),..oh yeah..the cooks were all Pakistanis!
A very good film about 3 guys attempting to scale K-2; one for adventure, one for glory and one for revenge. Definitely try to catch it.
dang…and even on the web-site, all they talk about is K-2…i didn’t know it wasn’t filmed in New Zealand instead…oh well…it looks good

the movie was filmed in New Zealand, true(the real thing would’ve been toooo dangerous for the frail actor :hehe

but if any of u had gone through the movie website in detail, u’d find that a lot of the photography was done in Pakistan…and ofcourse, there is a Pakistani character in the movie…i dont know if there’s more than one though. Guess i’ll find out once i see the movie

Yeh,filmon mein hone ke khaahish kabhi tumlogon mein khatam hoge ke nahi?
I could understand may be over 20 years ago .before Videocamera & T.V. movies,parde pe jane pehchane jagah & log ko dekhne se bhoot khushe hote the.
But yaar,now days you can make home movies of your own house & relatives in Pakistan & see them as many times as you want.
Is it because very few movies are made in Pakistan compared to 1000 in Bolly wood alone,its no big deal if a movie is made in known placeses &known peoples.
I 'm not critical,but i seemed to have developed a very cavalier attitude towards this movies,spl. since i myself have seen in my own home movies & no longer get overwhelmed by the siver screen characters.May be i have outgrown that larger than life attitude about movies when they are made thousand times more than i have time to see.They seem over reduntant!

anyway, im dying to see the movie cuz it looks sooooo exciting,i mean, the special effects and everything....they're just awesome.
