The audiences have loved Dil Bole Hadippa. It’s a feel good fun film that does what it promises- ENTERTAIN! The critics may not be raving about the film, but then again when are they? Regardless, the audience and Critics have both made it very clear that Rani is the soul of this film . She brings life into the film and her performance is award worthy.
In short, the Rani we Love is BACK! And better than ever!
Here is what some critics said of her performance:
One critic even compares her to Madhuri Dixit!
“Rani Mukherjee comes up with a spirited performnce” -Gaurav Malani,INDIATIMES MOVIES
“DIL BOLE HADIPPA belongs to Rani and as always, she delivers a sparkling performance as Veera as well as Veer, carrying both the roles effortlessly. Shahid plays second fiddle to Rani, which is very surprising.”-Taran Adarsh, BollywoodHungama
“The film’s only bright spark is that feisty performance by Rani Mukherjee, especially in her sardar avatar. The actress lets herself go with an unhinged, uninhibited turn that showcases her fearlessness as a performer” -Rajeev Masand, CNN-IBN
“Comedy, drama, dancing - she gets to do it all. Ms Mukherjee acts with the same abandon that endeared her to millions” - Avijit Ghosh, The Times of India
In her author-backed role, Rani delivers some spanking sixes (and a fiery feminist speech) on the field- Shubhra Gupta, IndianExpress.com
“Rani’s The Man! I mean, the leading man of Dil Bole Hadippa. Shahid Kapoor is more or less reduced to a twelfth man in this Yashraj film that seems solely crafted to open up the second innings of Rani’s sagged career…Rani’s goofy Veer Singh is the soul of this film” - Naresh Kumar Deoshi, Apunkachoice.com
“Rani is brilliant as the over the top Sardar. Some of the best scenes of the movie are between Shahid and the Sardar. As the naughty, small town girl, she does a retake of her Bunty Aur Babli act. Rani also makes subtle references to Madhuri Dixit, someone who did many author-backed entertainers, just like Mukerji. All that flab may have disappeared but Rani’s screen presence is solid as ever. She goes through the entire film without shedding a tear, except for the last scene.” -Anand Vaishnav, Buzz18.com
“Good this one had no one else but Rani Mukerji, who could actually save the film from being a total flop show. Rani looks awesome in her well toned body, and strikes a likable and cute chemistry with Shahid. Her performance in both comedy and emotional sequences is commendable. When Veera makes a speech about allowing girls to dream, you are actually moved.” -Spicezee Bureau
"Rani Mukherji is effortless, and the film belongs to her- looking worth a million bucks. One can say this film is a great follow-up for Rani on her Bunty Aur Babli character- sweet and perky! -StarBoxOffice.com
Also Check out the FIRST DAY FIRST SHOW OF RANI_SHAHID"S DIL BOLE HADIPPA! Everyone has only positive things to say of the film and Rani.
“At 0.31 seconds the lady says that the film will be a hit because of Rani!”
ahh.... another hollywood inspired movie (she's the man)!
i am a big fan of the original one.
i think next time the Pakistani players should check the harbajan singh ( what if hez a gal);)
the scene where her beard and stuff is taken of at the end was ridiculous coz when the camera comes back at her shez got all the makeup( long finger nails) to look pretty!
Nice movie, enjoyable and better than most crap that is coming out these days. It's worth the ticket and you can just about sit and watch the whole movie in cinema without getting bored.
Acting: Shahid Kapoor and Rani Mukherjee were awesome!!
everything else: ummm really wth were they thinking?
first of all if you are going to take the main storyline from Shakespeare, at least acknowledge that fact. Please bollywood is not that clever to come up with that concept!
Second of all, what are bollywood movies known for? Good Music! I did not enjoy even one song or even the picturisaion of the songs! And the last number is a total rip off of Mauja hi Mauja!
Rani saved the movie with her comedy skills but where was the romance? This movie had the potential to be a classic bollywood romantic comedy BUT there was no romance!
The only scene in the movie that was enjoyable was when Rohan is apologizing to veera in the stageplay. And that too is because it was a medley of all the good bollywood movies lol!
Shahid Kapoor looked hot though. And his acting as an angry coach was really good.
Bollywood needs to get back to the drawing board and work on story development!
When they start showing the trailers few months back.. It was obvious this is a copy of She’s The Man.. So the storyline was predictable.. Other than that.. Good acting by Shahid and Rani.. Love the songs..! Good entertainment.. But the movie wasnt THAT great IMO..
I knoooow.. She had about two seconds to get her hair, eyeliner, blush, gloss and nails done..! Now that’s what I would like to learn..!!
