I am getting married INSHALLAH in Feb 09 in Pakistan, Lahore. And as you all know with the wedding come the dilemma of a good venue. I don’t live in Pakistan and family (i’m not too close to them to know their choice) that I have in pakistan, they are suggesting Gardinia marriage hall in Guleshan-e-ravi, 19 civic centre, Lahore. Can someone please please please tell me if tat’s a good place or at lease standard place to get married in.

i m in the same situation as you are, i dont knw about that particular hall, but got some information frm Royal Palm counrty /glof club...have the pricing and everything... i dont know how to attached picutes so if youll like i can email them to you.
oh that's gorgeous. do u know the location of this place? n what does 850 or 950 per head include? i mean other than food? and does that price include decoration, drinks and round table arragnement cuz some places charge extra for all these things?
these prices are 4 one dishe menu...drinks and everything else (food/drinks) is extra...i dont knw the address but they emailed me back in a day (which is the fastest response i have gotton from any hall in lahore), here is there website they have more pictures on it, but no prices.

they charge alot though. my friend jsut got married in aug and she told me tat they hired a private decorator and her decoratoions were very nice. and they only paid 10000rs. for 3 days which i found hard to belive cuz it sounded pretty cheap but i think that's the cheapest thing in pak right now lolzz..also if you go with a decorator provided by hall they are more xpensive.
i m in the US... and helped so many of my friends with their wedding decorations that i knw i m going to be a big pain when it comes to my own wedding...i m collection many things (crystal deocrations for my centerpieces...etc) for the wedding...so when i get to pakistan il have half the decoration all ready to go...will just need some one t put them up. :)

yeah i've seen sapphire, they've got a website. i've some homework in terms of hals n printed this huge list of pretty much all banquet/marriagehalls in lahore but relatives are suggestign Gardinia. They got no website so I called them. but i need to knwo if tat's good place. n if gulshan-e-ravi itself is a good area. i've never head of gulshan e ravi before so i'm confused. but Rabia i very much appreciate ur help. i'm your neighbour btw from Canada.

the area gulshan e ravi is buss okay area..would be really out of the way for most of your guest if they dont live in gulshan ravi.i have never heard of the hall either.
did you check with qasr e noor halls,liberty castle,model town club?
liberty castle is really expensive for no reason...back in march when i was their it was charing 950 for one dish (thats when it was ok to have more than one dish)...its pretty and all that but still too much .
yeah i called em today..they are charging 1200 per head for 1 dish with seating arragnement and 1100 per head for 1 dish without seating arragnement.. i'd say it's ridiculous..
