This is my first post here 
Though I’ve been reading from here regularly. I’m getting engaged in April this year and was looking for some nice hall which can accommodate 100+ people. If you guys have any good suggestions, let me know

I don't know about cambridge, but Ilford-wise. Hmm.
There's a few venues which are nice, but depends on your budget?
Like, there's a cheap hall on Eton Road, errr, called Eton Road Community Centre? Not sure if that's the name, but people should know what you're talking about if you ask. We used that for my brother's mehndi about 3 years ago, there's a stage and a lot of space, cost us £50 an hour but dunno if it's gone up.
Ilford Town Hall is okay, my sister used that for her mehndi, it holds around 150 (this is the smaller hall downstairs and not the main, bigger one which costs more), we paid around £450 for it for the evening, including tables and chairs.
There's a lovely hall in Seven Kings called The Banqueting Lounge which is beautiful, but may be a bit costly cos it's more of a wedding venue. Not sure how much it is, but I can PM you a pic of a wedding I went to there.
I'll keep thinking of more in Redbridge/Ilford area :)

Hi Mad, thanks for the detailed answer.
My preference is nice hall, decent catering and just great environment. Yeah please pm me those :) I'll give them a call tomorrow and see if I can visit them soon.
Do you know any good restaurants in ilford which can do the catering/ decor everything in under 4000 for 100+ people?

Hmmm I’m not sure, there’s a venue in Leytonstone called Starlight suite which is pretty, holds about 100-150 and does catering, probly would fir your budget too.

Ummm. there’s so many venues, I would say google really! Ilford-wise, there’s a few restaurants in Gants Hill and Seven Kings or even Goodmayes? Mirch Masala is a restaurant you can hire out, they do wedding functions.

There’s a really nice venue in Barking, my sister got married there, and the price was like 3.5K for us, including catering for the smaller hall? It’s very pretty inside. It’s called Oasis Banqueting, there’s two halls, a big one which holds around 1000 people and a smaller one which holds around 250-300. The owner can do a good deal with catering/stage decor etc.
