cost and features to look at ????
Re: Vehicle GPS for US
- should have local shopping feature. This feature comes in handy many a times.
- Should say the name of the street where you will be turning next. Some model just display the name on the screen and ask you to turn left or right.

mirch, good point #2.
it makes so much more sense to have your gps say the street name rather than say 'turn in 200 ft'. especially if you'r driving in a large city where left in 200 ft can mean either street. anyhow. i dont see why one would pay like $50-60 less and get a gps that doesnt say street names. i'd find it so inconvenient and unhelpful!!

as per the Toyota dealer, its 1800$ for a GPS now..

Re: Vehicle GPS for US
Any experience with Garmin 360 or 370
Re: Vehicle GPS for US
I have the Garmin 200, and take it with me whenever I travel for work. It hasn't failed me yet. Sometimes it will show a location which is slightly off from the actual location, but that is common even in Google maps. The map is really clear due to the use of colors. It doesn't say the street name, but I haven't had a need for that.
Re: Vehicle GPS for US
I have Garmin nuvi 360 with free update of 2009 maps (which you can do from garmin.com in first 30 days of purchase)…
I bought it for $224… from Amazon … 350 was $199 and did not have blue tooth… It’s awesome for blue tooth phones…
never fails… 110% reliable… you can even find halaal restaurants too ![]()
text to speech feature tells you the street name too… ![]()
I love it to pieces ![]()
It did not fail me even once in my first drive with it for 1300 miles… :shoaby:
