ok this might be a dumb question, but this is the first time im making spring rolls, and i’m still opting for the easy way out
i’m just going to use prepackaged coleslaw mix for the filling like many recipes suggested, but what i can’t figure out is if i’m supposed to cook the coleslaw mix for a bit or just fill the wrapper and fry it that way
there are both ways online…what tastes better to you guys?
and some say to use soy sauce when cooking, some don’t
one says just soak it in sweet and sour sauce
i just want a simple recipe
i know there is a thread on the chicken and veggie variety, and i assume i can do the same thing without the chicken
but yeah still curious about the cooking or not cooking part
I didnt make the rolls with prepackaged coleslaw but i think u can make them without cooking the closlaw as the veggies cooks during frying,so shortcut.
though i haven't ever used the pre packaged coleslaw thing...but then its almost the same as getting the cabbage and cutting it urself...:d
i always cook the vegies before filling the spring rolls....just saute them with a chopped onion and some cooking oil/olive oil with salt and pepper....i add soy sauce too...the cabbage wilts within minutes and then u r all ready to fill the rolls...
I use mix vegies, thinly sliced cabbage, spring onions, and noodles. Stir fry them. Add cabbage at the very end. Season with salt, black pepper, and soy sauce.
