Anyone has good tasty recipes for healthy smoothies that contain vegetables and fruits?
My almost 2 year old has stopped eating most veggies unless they are mashed up and hidden in plain rice, even then he makes a big fuss and gags on food. Help me out please!!
well my baby takes vegetables wth her noodles, n for fruits, she dont like avocado, so wht i do mix avocado, apple, strawberries n honey, plz check strawberries before so tht they dont effect the throat
You can add shredded vegetables in meat balls, chicken sandwiches, noodles, cheese spread, etc. Maybe make it exciting for him and have him prep the vegetables with, or get some nice dips.
Not sure of veggie smoothies, but maybe fruit & veggie juices.I think I read on these forums that someone made a drink with spinach and carrots and apples (I do not exactly recall),but maybe you can experiment.
Veggies are easy to mask and my 2 yo has actually no issue with them so I never had to do anything special. She does not eat any fruit,or fruit juice or even fruit juice Popsicles (and trust me,they were yummy..!) so my problem lies with fruits...!
What does your son like to eat..?...Hide some mashed veggies in chicken or potato cutlets,or meatballs.I always add a handful of frozen mixed veggies to mine's pastas.Does he like paratha..?..I add some mashed vegetable to her stuffed paratha and she likes it (on the days she actually wants to eat..!).If he likes eggs, try adding some to them and making a veggie & cheese omelet.
My daughter has recently started to like munching on baby carrots. She just eats a few pieces while playing here and there.Try that.
