I certainly do think the idea of Pakistan still not being an official state is shining through bollywood more than ever. It was considered a ******* and will always be considered as such unless the media changes its perceptions of its neighbours... we can still extract animosity no matter what the intended purpose of the piece is.

kiron kher, divya dutta, anupam , and ofcourse preity zinta were pakistanis too.
This movie was not about who is good and who is bad. they showed hero as indian army personal but not fighting with pakistan. infact he was in rescue section.
it is just a love story , like it or hate it is your choice. but dont give it india pakistan color.

I didn't want to watch it because I knew from the trailors I'd end up breaking the TV or something.

But last night I saw it on an Afghan site so I thought lets watch in Real Player out of curiosity, I was *ed off with them portraying a Muslim girl with a Sikh/Hindu guy as usual, why do they never do it the other way round? Or at least *ing convert him in the film.

It does seem a lot more respectful to Pak compared to other movies of it's sort but still there is nothing more disrespectful than to portray our country's daughters with a Kaafir, we're not so desperate for people to portray us in a good light so that they can stain our honour like that, **** this emotional bull*, no true Muslim Paki girl falls in love with a **** Kaafir.

I like the way Shabbo the naukrani spoke though, so cute and sweet and so like my own dialect, mein julleya aan.

i hated it!! does she become hindu at the end??? he puts the red stuff on her..??? n yah they needed a good paki guy in the movie.. n why would a paki muslim girl fall in love w/ an indian guy,... esp if he's hindu!!!!
with movies like veer zaara why would paki people wanna unite w/ indianS?!??!
a couple days ago i realized Quaid is my hero.. w/o him we would be indian!! yes i am racist.. but its only cus there are too many freakin indians.. thats why i like being pakistani!

when u are in love you would do anything for that person and in this movie zara's hone wala husband already told veer that if he utter his mouth then he is gonan ruin veer's life.... knowing the fact the he doesnt really hav any mom/dad/siblings except taya.. so why cant he live in a jail just for her life and if he would have said her name then all his life he would have be feeling guilty about it...

Why cant you all take it as a movie... atleast its not like an anti pakistani movie..

i really like this movie... may be thats why i am defending it.. but just take it as a movie... and see if u then didnt like it.. prity zinta looked so cute in that movie...

I hated this movie. It was so long, they could have made it an hour shorter. And my butt got numb sitting in the Naz cinema's seat and they charged $10 for a ticket. I think they do need to have a good pakistani man in the movie and i didn't get the fact that it was ok for zaara to be married when veer was alive but they got her a divorce when he died. he is gone either way.

I haven't seen the movie yet; though I know the story and all but I really wanna watch it because of the music. I wanna see the videos. I didn't like the video of "tere liye" it was pathetic man but how about this video "tum paas arahe ho" ?? kisi ne dekha hai?? If it's not good then please let me know because I love the song and I don't wanna watch a crap video of my favourite song.

Veer Zaara is definately not a movie I would recommend, they over exaggerated the 2 day fling; so unrealistic.
