There are bigger issues out there to deal with than what a woman chooses to do with her OWN body.

Pakistan is dealing with very big issues right now, whether it be our security forces being massacred or ISI/govt under fire from the memogate scandal and right in the middle of it Veena conveniently decides to exploit the situation and the hot topic by tatooing her 'own' body with this uber sensitive symbol to get more attention. not acceptable! she can sell herself and her body all she wants, but when she decides to poke fun at and sell her country's symbol of integrity along with it, she has crossed all lines. apparently she posed in a bikini too some time back, no one gave two hoots about it, so this time she decides to up the selling factor. disgusting.

I didn't say anything about privacy. If she wants to take off her clothes and pose on the cover of a mag that's her choice. HER body, HER choice - you don't have to look at it.

well in my opinion, this privacy/choice debate about it being 'her body' and no one's business is all hogwash anyways, celebs do covers, interviews and make appearances to remain in the public eye and get professional exposure not for personal keeps. now based on that everyone will have an individual opinion, right or wrong, but its definitely open to public debate since they are not private pictures leaked to the press but modeled for public eyes and publicity. Whether its fake or real, still remains to be seen though, since she is said to be suing the mag...till then the topic will be debated to death with FHM and Veena getting lots of publicity (which I believe was the whole point of this stunt)

that isnt even a tattoo. to me the biggest issue is she has no rear worth speaking about, and worse - her waist to hip ratio is close to 1 :\ there is no excuse for such people to get naked, tattoo or no tattoo.

That's not true. India has plenty of beautiful women. Bollywood is full of them.
For what Veena is doing in India, she is trash for both Indians and Pakistanis.
Having beautiful women in Pakistan doesn't mean that we remove their clothes and put them on a pedestal in a public chowk for all to 'admire' [if that is what you mean by updating our culture]. :)
That is equivalent to being on the cover of a trashy magazine naked.

Agreed, it's not the nudity but the ISI tattoo and hand grenade and the fact that it's an INDIAN magazine. Veena has a topless photoshoot which has been floating around over the internet for almost a decade (which she likes to pretend is fake), so it's not about the skin exposure as much as it is about the inappropriatness of the whole damn shoot
