i had c section with my first child. Wen through labour, at pushing stage she was stuck. Dr tried vaccum and other things bt had c section.
Nw i dnt know if i try vbac or nt. I m having fine pregnancy just have muscle cramps (leg cramp type) close to previous scar. Does this mean any thing? Its slightly painful.
my dr appointment is in 3 weeks. Just want some opinions abt it.
i’m not surprised its hurting- i mean, c-secs are painful surgeries. i’m actually kind of scared to try for #2 because i’m not sure how its going to feel
like you, though, he got stuck at 8 cms and i had a c-sec and i’m hoping to have a vbac second time around (whenever i get over my fear)… i think you have to go with the flow. try for a vbac to avoid another surgery but be open to the possibility of another c-sec. here, doctors are very reluctant to go with vbac’s after a c, but if my kid isn’t measuring as big second time around, then i’m definitely going to resist the surgery for as long as i can.
I had a vbac. Me second pregnancy was 2.5 yrs apart. I had slight tingling in the scar area for a very long time, I think even when I was pregnant second time, no pain just tingling.
I discussed with my doctor that I wanted to try vbac and she told me it was my choice and she will help/support.
My doctor told me that they prefer giving epidural in vbac in case if emergency surgery is needed. With vbac there is a slight chance of uterus getting ruptured. your doctor will probably discuss this with you.
I was just not too sure about getting epidural. I was not sure if I will be able to push if I got epidural. With my first delivery I had not experienced any labor pains and had a c-section soon after I was induced hence my concern.
I did not get epidural not by choice though but because by the time I got to the hospital and requested for epidural, I was 8 cm dialated and there was not enough time to give it to me. I had other problems but if we decide to have another baby, I will still go for vaginal birth and not c-section.
My dauther will be 4 years and 3 months when i am due for my second. I recovered very well form C Section. i never had any issues and infact i was walking as soon as they took my stitches out.
with my first when as i went through full labour without any pain relief and ended up with C Section, i am scared to try VBAC. whats point of after all the pain i still need surgery.
the crambs i get are not painful they are muscle cramps like one people get in their legs at night, i often get these in my tummy just above the scar. i am concerned about it.
I had an emergency c section.. I loved being in labor but I have this fear of trying vbac..what if? I hadn’t thought about csection throughout my pregnancy, to me that wasn’t an option but I ended up with one where baby’s heart beat was dipping and I was fully dilated with no further progress.. Do I really want my next delivery to be that last minute? Honestky i dint even rememberbecause i was exhausted after being in back kabor for 36 hours..I guess for me mental healing took more than the physical and I realized how helpless we are in these situations..child brith truly is a miracle! I would prefer a second c section just because vbac scares the hell out of me…is it just me?
If your doctor is okay with a VBAC, you should be too.
Having said that you know your body the best. 4 years a long time for your body to heal so you should be okay. I would also consult a mid-wife or a holistic nurse. She can give you some options as well. It’s helpful to have a advocate around.
You may go for a VBAC and end up in c-section. That is always a possibility.
