VB Series: India ,Australia and Zimbabwe

Congratz to Australia. Well done india as well as they put a good show, so they are givening foght to australia every time not one or two ocasions.

thumping stuff from Andrew Symonds and Australia too - they really hit back when the game was out of reach - a bad start by Aussies and Andrew was on the crease to contral damage with Micheal - well done boys!

India had brilliant start - given by Sehwag and Tendulkar - surely Indian victory was right around the corner when Ian Harvey brought Aussies back in the champions style! he was the one who did the damage to the Indian side in the TVS Cup final in India - remember, ay?

well i don’t know about Rohan’s stats in domestic cricket but he did play good when India A visited England - actually he led the side by example - also you must take his first-class and limited-overs average in consideration.

i think India should replace Yuraj Singh with Rohan.

:rotfl: I second that.

:mad3:

was a thriller..

well played aussies:k:

Idiot Bangar :(

Whatsup with that!
Everytime I watch the Indians play Aussies they lose?
I went to my friends house to watch TVS Cup final in Kolkata, and India lost!
Then again, I went to my same friends house to watch the MCG test and India lost!
And last night, I tuned into the 2nd inning and India looked to be set for victory but Ganguly was runout and India lost again!

Poor Bangar, he reminds me of that Chicago Cubs fan, who cost his team the WS.

Xpress are you available during March. I will pay you to watch the Indo-Pak series. :)

Let's see- India needs to win 4-5 matches to ensure a place in the finals. Thrice Zimbabwe and maybe twice Aussies? We should scrape in, just about. Then it's deja vu if Ponting wins the toss. 350 to chase...hooray!

4-5 why...
It could even be just 2 matches against ZIM assuming that AUS win all matches. :D

india should have won the game they were in a gr8 postion @ around 257/4 i believe, and all of a sudden gulli's wicket made the match turn in the aussies favour, simply patethic display by the indian lower order batsmen 'n' tailenders.... ha haa 2 bad another odi defeat for india!!!

australia give a target of 226,
zimbabwe are 122/8 in 34.3 overs

zimbabwe 126 all out
australia win by 99 runs

:(. it would have been wonderfull if Zimbabwe would have beaten Australia...

Zimbabve bowled really well :k: but batted horribly…:frowning:

zimbabwe bowled well....
tough luck

again Symonds and Clarke carried the burden when things weren't looking good at all - Brad Williams got his first five wicket haul - truly deserved MoM award - i predicted a close game at the end of Australian innings but never thought Brad Willaims to took the air out of Zimbabweans! that was one gem performance - well done to him

onto India Zimbabwe game.

**India call up pace bowler Bhandari for Australia **](http://www.cricketnext.com/news1/next/reutersjan04/reuters067.htm)

NEW DELHI, Jan 10, 2004 (Reuters)

Fast bowler Amit Bhandari has been recalled into the Indian squad for the one-day tri-series in Australia, the cricket board announced on Saturday.

The 25-year-old bowler was chosen on the team management’s request and will be an extra player in the 16-member side, the Indian board’s secretary Karunakaran Nair said.

India’s pace attack has been depleted following injuries to left-arm pacemen Zaheer Khan and Ashish Nehra.

Bhandari played his only one-day game against Pakistan in the Dhaka Asia Cup in 2000 and was discarded after conceding 75 runs from his 10 overs.

But the Delhi bowler has since improved his strike rate in domestic competitions and for India A, his lack of sheer pace compensated by his ability to swing the ball.

His contributions as a late order batsman could also help end India’s repeated lower order collapses in Australia.

India’s last six wickets fell for 13 runs on Friday as they suffered an 18-run defeat to world champions Australia in the opening game of the tri-series also featuring Zimbabwe.

these guyz don have the confidence of beating australia. after such a magnificent bowling job, they just throw it all away. perhaps there top order shd learn a thing or two abt batting from Streak and Taibu
