Yeah let's wait and watch. But one thing is for sure- it can't "replace" Malaal. Malaal was a beauty, a gem of its kind. Vasl might have the best director at helm but, in my eyes, owing to poor star cast it can't be on par with Malaal and the sort of impact it had.
Then again, let's see.

Watched the first episode. At least it has the simplicity of a MJ play. Even though her style seems to be missing.
I was thinking the kids and husband was going to die in some car accident but it's odd that he divorced her. Kind of random....

To each his own, but I don't really look forward to Ahsan khan, Juggun Kazim, Tooba Siddiqui, etc etc maybe because I haven't watched them in action before?
I like Faisal Rehman though.
I still haven't watched the first episode yet. Maybe I'll skim through it right now. takes off
EDIT: Yeah watched it. Wasn't bad. And yes it had the simple and natural touch to it which is characteristic of MJ. But I already kinda knew he (Hashim) was going to divorce her (Hina?). The launch show sorta gave that one away.
And Juggun Kazim and Ahsan khan weren't that bad, surprisingly. Good directors can do miracles :p
Juggun seemed to be on plump side probably because this was shot right after her pregnancy. She looked cute and natural. I actually caught one of her scenes with Faisal Qureshi in Meri Ansuni Kahaani, just while I was on my random skimming around spree, and it looked as if she still had a long way to go. Now, I can say she's already improving- just goes to show the culmination of a good direction.
Oh and it was great to see Salma Azfar!! :D Last I saw her was when I watching Dhoop mein sawaan online with Nadia Jamil :D

I actually really liked the first episode, and definitely looking forward to the second one. Not a huge fan of ayesha khan, but I'd still watch it - looks like a good story so far!

I loved the part where her cousin (played by Tipu) comes for a visit and she starts acting all lovey dovey toward him LOL Her husband was totally jaal-ing bhoon-ing!
