so far all ive heard is good stuff about the movie.. not even one bad review..

so i am thinking it actually would be a good movie to watch :hmmm:

yep… watched it today! loved it for its sheer entertainment value - give it a 8/10 :k:

I thought they did an almost too literal job to uphold the title of the movie.

It’s a pretty good pseudo-political action thriller, but you might need to be a little patient. Some might feel a little disconcerted because you do need to pay attention.

Overall, it’s a fast paced Bourne-style escapist thriller. There are some holes in the plot but the momentum of the movie helps in not letting them shine too much.

1. the rogue news cameraman… he really had no real role in the movie… no benefit to the kidnappers. Who was he? What were his motives?

  1. the Spanish cop guy protecting the mayor was shown to be shot by the Secret Service guys from Forest Whitaker’s Vantage point… but in later screen views, they weren’t even there?!?

  2. Lastly, it became very obvious right at the beginning that Matthew Fox's character was that of the bad guy. No one else could get hold of the command center but he could…

hmmmm it's kindda different the way they hv shown it, different idea, seemed similar 2 sum thing dat was dun 4 Denzil Washington's deja vu but i didn't liked it much
seriously na there was a time during which i said "this is a complete rip off man, 25 min ki movie kau hi baar baar dikha rahay hayn, i want my money back"

Also, may be I went in with the expectation that I’d be shown “the same thing” with different twists… cuz that’s what vantage point means to me.

Thats how it was right? I mean that one scene was repeated a few times, but then through the eyes of every1 else. My friend thought the terrorist was hot. :D

i know wat vantage point meanz, da same thing was dun in dat famous japaneese flick also; roshman or rashmon wateva da name was. dat movie had a class of it's own n in dat movie the concept was how ppl perceive the same situation differently.
in vantage point it seems like dat da director is zabardasti trying to create mystery/anxiety 4 da audience by hiding some information every time the scene repeats when infact 70% of the story was covered in the initial 12 minutes. I mean wat's the point of showing the same things again n again by just adding a small change, seemed like the director is playing some "spot the difference" game with the audience. n then dat famous car chase in the last part just to get in the league of bourne movies. Even rendition/lion for lambs/the kingdom made more sense 2 m then this 1.
seems like dat they were out of funds so tried 2 cash on watever they had
