hi everybody im in my first trimester and earlier ultrasounds showed two gest sacs now on my 7th week sono baby a was 6w1d with hb and baby b had some tissue n was even smaller but doc wasnt able to see hb then one week later doc did a transabdominal sono as nothing was visible on internal n baby a was superbouncy n measured 7w5d about 4-5 days behind but again doc couldnt see baby b n told me maybe it is on back side or has implanted on the side of uterus
baby b’s sac had grown n well i dont know im gng again on monday to see wat happens but has anyone of u heard or seen or experienced a vanishing twin ? wat happens if baby b doesnt grow ?plz remember me in ur prayers although i have an open mind and im mentally prepared for any outcome but still a part of me feels n hurts for this baby so much …these babies were conceived after torturous 4 yrs of secondary infertility and …ok i just need ur prayers so plz…

I saw this on a docimentary but it was so irrelevant at that time, i didnt watch all of it... But the gist of it was, there are 2 babies initially but veryvery early on in the pregnancy, one just stops growing... Before it can form anything... So really its just tissue ...
Man now i wish i had watched it....
What does ure doc say?
Hope ure babies are just fine andthey join u with full health at the end of the pregnancy :)

A friend of mine experienced this some time back, but already at the first ultra sound they could see that one of the twins was just a sacket - meaning just tissue and had not grown. Nothing really happened as far as I recall, she delivered a healthy baby boy later on.

@khawateen so far do didnt say anything negative she just tells me everytime the sac is there n maybe it is twins but at least we can see that one baby is definetly there we see how the other progresses next time ........

Hi Rosetta,
I had the same issue as you, sack was growing, had a heartbeat, and then at 7 weeks stopped growing, no heatbeat. I had what was a "miscarraige" of this sack at 12weeks, just like a period but quite "watery" (sorry if this sounds gross)

one of our acquaintance had that she told us that she is having twins then she had just 1 boy we did not ask her anything because it was kinda rude but I think she had what u r talking about

thanks ladies so much for ur prayers well it appears that one of the babies has started to misscarry coz i was having brownish discharge n cramps a couple days ago but the good news is that the other baby is mashallah doing great and the doc is really hopeful for this pregnancy to continue smoothly ......yes im a little heartbroken n sad but i belive that everything happens for good n inshallah in the long run it ll prove to be a blessing ........waisay bhy it was a gift which Allah gave to me n im so glad that even for a few weeks i had the joy of arrying twins ...which according to my huisband im crazy abt twins .....now im just being hopeful and positive abt my other baby ...thanks again everyone
