Is vanilla technically a spice? And what is the urdu word for vanilla?

Yes Vanilla is officially classed as a spice and is pronounced Vanilliyaah in Urdu with a strong Pakistani accent.

vanilla is NOT rooh kayvrah..

My aunt used rooh kayvrah in an apple pie recipe and it was horrible!!
