human thoughts prevail, thrive on signs, when things are to be decided.
philosophically, the power of a sign is never to be given credence, until verfied as a sign, or on the other hand to be taken for granted lest it gives a false positive not needed.
but it just might be a sign none the less, just existing but not expected to be noticed.
