no farshi's for someone so petite- she might drown in all that fabric.
mermaid would look good if she has a good figure. i love the colors in the first outfit, btw... gorgeous and so fresh! will you do an emerald set for her?
I wouldn’t do with the mermaid actually. With something like a mermaid hugging the body and her lower curves, the cut will make her look shorter. Shorter people should never wear something that hugs the lower body like that. Mermaid styles look excellent on taller women who have legs to carry the fabric after the fabric is cut off for the bottom flare.
I’m sure she’d be wearing heels on the wedding so 2/3 inches means 5.5? She’d carry a lehnga/gharara beautifully.
SGC, you looked wonderful on your wedding (as if I haven’t said that enough already:P). Perhaps if you showed her some of your pictures, she’d get a better idea of what suits shorter people..?
i had an a-line lehenga and that style works on everyone universally, regardless of height. however, i have seen petite girls pulling off mermaids very well too… i think it really depends a lot on your figure more than your height- you have to be pretty thin overall. and as YP pointed out, with heels, she’d probably be closer to 5’5", so the mermaid might actually work.
you can always do a trumpet skirt too, if a mermaid silhouette is too extreme… a trumpet is basically a gentler cut, between an a-line and a mermaid.
I wouldn't put that cut of a mermaid on a girl that height. Perhaps if the gote came higher than the knees. Regardless, for that height, I think the best shape is the traditional gharara (gote at the knee) or an a-line sharara or one with only a slight flare like a trumpet, as SGC suggested.
SGC- thanks for posting the link to the two skirt. I think the trumpet skirt is ideal. It's so flattering and I think it makes your legs look longer...so you end up looking taller!
why not a two legged like that picture just exactly like that or a dhaka pajama with a long top? that would look good on her i think. the colors are cute
^ a dhaka pyjama, i've only seen yours, does it always have a long shirt? cos you're tall so you carried it off, but someone more petite might end up looking shorter.
well im really not that tall im barely 5'6 but i dont think it always has to have AS LONG of a shirt but it should be on the longer side. i also like the pants with the bands (gharara?) like in the picture above, especially on petite girls it looks like really dollish and beautiful!
if she is skinny/thin, then for her height, best thing to do is get a short fitted shirt and an A line lehenga, and worn with high heels. will add maximum length to her height.
I think a "gharara" with the "gote" just at the knee paired with a slightly longer shirt wud look fab. It will elongate her body. So will a darker color on top..and a lighter color for the gharara..
